Sunday Morning Linkin’ Blogs

Joe Paterno’s statue has been removed from outside the Penn State football stadium.

Chris Walker promised a national championship at Florida.  How adorable.

-Jeff Goodman thinks Andrew Wiggins is pretty good at basketball.  Like, “best amateur player in the world” good.

-Rick Pitino thinks Jay Bilas would be a good selection as Big East Commissioner.  Bilas isn’t sure the Big East is ready to go to work.

-6’9″ Small Forward Aaron Gordon has a top three of Arizona, Washington, and Kentucky.

Look out for 2014 G Phil Booth to make some noise as a scorer. Could be next Doron Lamb-type player.

Too bad the ncaa didn’t give UK football the death penalty a couple years ago – then Joker would have yet another excuse for sucking so bad. Well, at least his apologists would have yet another excuse.

You know Brooks has got to be pissed at how fast the program has dropped after he had built it up to multipal bowl games, in a row.

Chris Walker is an outstanding player and if he was not coming to UK I am glad to see him in the SEC!

Hulk, bro, just because some in the fanbase don’t roll over and take what Mitch and Joker are giving us – doesn’t mean we aren’t true fans! True fans don’t have to accept this level of football, just to say we are true fans. And don’t give me the crap about supporting the kids… if 95% of the kids on the team had been recruited to a real SEC school, they wouldn’t be here either. UK gives kids the opportunity to play at a SEC school without having to have the real talent of playing at a true SEC school. Truth hurts some times. Until Mitch and the Board of Directors gets serious about football, UK will continue to be the doormat of the SEC. Thanks Joker.

Walker still didn’t have an offer right? So how did he choose Florida over us? Cal obviously never offered for a reason so no big deal he went there. But I fully expect him to play his ass off against us. Also, it takes more than two ppl to win a title walker so his little guarantee is quite laughable.

I was told that Walker did get an offer from the UK staff, not sure about all the details but that he did have the offer he wanted. I told all of you that he just wanted the offer as sort of a trophy to brag about and nothing more. He never wanted to play for Kentucky or Calipari, he just wanted to say that he turned them down to play for Donovan at Florida. I see another 7 game win streak for the Gators over UK coming again just like we did with Noah, Horford and Brewer. Go Gators!

By the wsy, his work always seems to be fact based and relevant to the particular subject done with a comfortable style. No “look at what I just said” grabber

    7. You really think those two guys will stay long enough for seven games? Walker will be in the NBA soon.

And no, I’m going to go by what is reported. Officially, he did not have an offer. He kept begging, for whatever reason, but Cal passed. His recent interviews back that up, because he kept expecting an offer soon.
