Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Stop What You’re Doing, It’s The Sunday Morning Links!

Need to read some more recaps of yesterday’s win over Belmont? USA Today has a look with an empasis on Andrew Harrison who sat on the bench as the Cats rallied back. CBS Sports on the other hand examines how crucial Julius Randle’s big play was to the win.

John Clay of the Herald Leader takes a look at Julius Randle and his realization that he needs to be a difference maker. After yesterday’s amazing performance and great play the majority of the year, I’d say he’s just that.

I hadn’t heard of any Marcus Lee transfer rumors but apparently that’s a thing going around the fanbase for the good doctor Jerry Tipton to debunk with the appropriately titled Marcus Lee’s brother says transfer scuttlebutt off base. (Sidenote: Jerry Tipton using the word scuttlebutt seems to define Jerry Tipton)

A top five match-up looms inside of a sold-out Rupp Arena. I’m not talking about UK-Louisville but rather the UK-Duke game being played this afternoon. Larry Vaught had what it takes to go one-on-one with the great one Matthew Mitchell ahead of the big game. Mitchell says ‘dynamic’ Duke will test Kentucky women in sold-out Rupp

Cal needs to be sure that Lee, Johnson and Willis remain happy and do not transfer (Hawkins is happy). I’m worried that they may transfer which would seriously damage our program next year. Play them Cal! We need them next year to compliment our solid class next year. I believe that next year could be better than this year. Solid players, not one and dones, who are fundamentally sound. Their eyes are not pointed to NBA like our entire starting lineup this year. Screw getting players to the NBA, Cal. It’s the Commonwealth’s team!

Thanks for the link, Travi. I usually read the KSR blog before the LHL daily edition is taken from the front porch, and this was the best reading of the morning paper. Pause your angst, Matt J, you’re still a loveable teddy bear, albeit a successful one, in the local press.

Tyshawn never seemed to play with much “energy” but by games end he had a great line score. Maybe Andrew has the same pace as Tyshawn. He may just need a year or three to make it as productive.

I literally haven’t read or heard one thing about Marcus Lee potentially transferring before that article…on any site. It’s sad that this guy considers himself a journalist. I have refused to click on any link associated with him or read anything on the LHL website for years bc of this idiot. If you aren’t doing the same yet, I urge you too.

I love how dumb our fan-base can be! Just because Lee is not playing, they start rumors for the sake of it! Knock, knock, Lee knew what he was signing on for when he signed on! Randle, Johnson, Poythress, and Cauley-Stein were already projected ahead of him. He wants to be at UK to play against the best, develop in a system that has proven to not only put guys in the league, but gets them ready. He is a multi-year guy. Guess what, he knows this!

Give it a rest, and use some rational thought for once.

    Go Cats!!!!

Oh, and on another tangent, this is just another example of the media trying to get a headline in the fan-base so they can get some clicks! It is not just the fan-bases fault when it comes to ridiculous behavior.
