Stoops on the Move With 2014 QB

2014 QB Anthony Siciliano recently tweeted out that the coaching staff at UK is gonna start checking him out this week, according to Matt:

Interesting timing indeed; could stoops be hedging his bets?  Or just making prudent coaching decisions in not putting all his eggs in one basket?  Either way, Siciliano looks like a pretty solid QB, if only based on the schools recruiting him.  So far his choices are Oregon, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Boston College, according to Rivals.  We’ll see how things shake out with the 2014 QB hunt.  For now, though, add one more name to the mix.

Barker is target #1. With the Siciliano interest, where does that leave DJ Gillins?

Rivals and 247 don’t show that Anthony has any scholarship offers at this point. He is 5’11” or 6′ tall so he would have to be a remarkable passing talent to play in this offense. He is not likely a back up option to Barker. I think this is inaccurate and misleading information.

uh oh. this might not be a bad sign but it’s definitely not a good sign about barker. i guess im just gonna hope he’s thinking about taking 2 QBs now…

Stupid stuff like this is why the fake KSR, and yes this is the fake one, should stay away from anything football related, as it once did. Even if Barker were not coming to UK, he is BTW, the Cats wouldn’t be falling all the way back to this kid. He might be being evaluated, but not as a QB, you can be sure of that.,

    4. but I would like to hear what you mean by this is the fake KSR, is there another one?

Is this a serious post on here? The kid has no shot of getting an offer from UK. He’s 5’11, runs a 4.8…and you think he’s going to play QB for this staff? Hahahaha.

No chance this kid ever gets recruited to UK as a quarterback.

Chris Collinsworth said he is a can’t miss superstar

    5. Yes, the original KSR is Kentucky Sports Report, those are the recognizable initials Matt [Mags] took to start up Kentucky Sports Radio, even though there was no radio presence for years after the site opened.

    9) to each his own, but your KSR is not this KSR. Nor has it (or any other college website in the country) had the success that THIS KSR has had. So they have something going for them with their fan base (as the market is indicating). Go ahead and continue to live your bitter, sorry life.

Last time I checked Johnny manziel is 5’11 and I think he just won the heisman trophy. How many experts here are coaching major D1 football? I’m guessing none and you can see why.

    8) People need to give it a rest on Patrick Towles, that ship sailed when he couldn’t best out whitlow last year. This kid is from Florida where the talent and competition is way better than Kentucky high school football.

If you all would watch Siciliano’s highlights you would realize this has nothing to do with Barker. I’m pretty sure I have a better arm than Siciliano and I’d give him a good foot race. With the floater he throws He’d get picked 5 times a game in the SEC.

FWIW, Rowland tweeted he would be a preferred walk on at best. If UK misses on Barker, they’d lead for two other 4 star QBs

#16 Dashone Kizer, but it doesn’t matter. We will get Barker and he will be the only QB in this class.

Think about it….Barker’s family has made it known they’re hardcore UK fans. He’s had several opportunities to announce for USC at different camps where he wouldn’t take any heat. Why wait, invite everyone attend his announcement at high school on twitter, to announce USC in front of a heavy UK crowd?

Lazy reporting, Corey. A simple email to Justin Rowland would tell you that this kid is being EVALUATED for a preferred walk-on spot. Calling it an interesting development with Drew Barker is bordering on intentionally misleading thousands of readers. Give me a break, man.

This kid has been pumping himself up for months. Anyone who follows college football recruiting could have told you that. At least have the nads to make an edit on your article and say he’s being evaluated for a WALK-ON POSITION!

It is funny to me that people need to promote Kentucky Sports Report (which really is not a report, at all) on KSR. LOL!

    # 23 , I agree with your take on this . I’ll also have ta call out “nunya” for hatin on this KSR. While there have been some less than stellar statements I would say that this site more than any other gets info out to the masses. You don’t like what you see , DON’T LOOK

This caught Rowland off guard too. This kid will not, however, get a UK offer at QB. He’s not even listed in the Top 200 passers in FLORIDA according to MaxPreps. He has no offers…none. Maybe Brown wants him to go to prep school or something.
