Vince Marrow the new TE Coach is using his pull in Lexington already, as 4-star WR Shelton Gibson from University Heights, OH was on hand this weekend to check out what Kentucky has to offer. Standing at 6’1, 190lbs., Gibson runs a 4.42 40-yard dash and is ranked as the 18th best WR in the nation, and the 4th best player in Ohio. Not impressed? Gibson also holds offers West Virginia, Louisville, Ohio State, and Nebraska among others. Watch him do work:
3-Star OT/DL Lovell Peterson from Huber Heights, OH is also wrapping up his official visit to Kentucky today, and by most reports I’ve seen, the ‘Cats stand a pretty good chance of landing one of the best players in Ohio.
On the way gone from my visit at Kentucky. Had an amazing time.

The 6’3 270lb. lineman picked up an offer from Kentucky early this weekend and is ranked by Scout.com as the 6th best Center in the country, and the 19th best overall player in the state of Ohio. Lovell also plays Defensive Tackle and is ranked as the 36th best DT in the nation by Rivals. Peterson has been shown interest by the likes of Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State, and has also picked up offers from Ohio, West Virginia, and Illinois.
Good to see “STOOOOOPS” doing work on the recruiting trail, especially in Ohio where high school football talent is abundant and previously untapped by Kentucky. Look for many more reports like this in the coming weeks, with Vince Marrow and Stoops on staff Ohio will be a fertile recruiting ground for the Wildcats.
