Steve Johnson Finishes his 5th NFL Season

Here at KSR, we often focus all of our NFL attention to Tyler Thompson’s favorite Randall Cobb. It’s for a good reason, even though he missed today’s game, he leads the NFL in all-purpose yards and set a Packers record this season. In all of Cobb’s greatness, we have been forgetting about Stevie Johnson in cold, cold Buffalo. Johnson signed a career deal before this season for 5 years and $36.25 million after proving his salt in dreary Buffalo.

Stevie Styles had put up back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons, but after today he came up just shy of three consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons. He came out swinging, hauling in 6 catches for 111 yards but could not hit the milestone. Johnson finished with 935 yards and 6 TDs, numbers very similar to the previous two seasons but he missed a game because of injury this year.

Johnson could easily be a career number one receiver for the Bills, but the unfortunate part is that it is for the Bills. The biggest blessing Randall Cobb has, is that he gets to catch passes from Aaron Rodgers while playing for a team that will consistently compete deep into the playoffs. Johnson has to catch balls from Ryan Fitzpatrick and his massive beard: a HUGE obstacle. Even though we love Randall, we can not forget about the guy in Buffalo that “Got Loose” against Louisville.

Show him some love @StevieJohnson13. And don’t forget about me! @RoushKSR

Actually, he got the 1,000 yards. The stats you were using didn’t count today’s. Check your homework, bro.

Actually, he did hit the 1000 yard mark. He had 935 going into today. So he finished with 1046! Stevie got loose!

Stevie, Wesley, and Tamme are enjoying the fruits of their labor. That was a great UK class. I always thought Raffey would have made it in the league as well.

One of my favorite players — would love to see him play for a contender — but glad he’s been recognized by a great contract.
