— I know, I know, we simply don’t have enough Evan Daniels in our life.  Fortunately for us, he was at the LeBron James skills academy checking out high school prospects.  If you want to watch his take on the event, check it out here.  While you’re at it, see why Nerlens Noel is my new favorite 2013 prospect (hint: it’s the flat top.)

— It was believed that UK Defensive End Nermin Delic’s career as a football player was over – mainly because he believed it was.  Due to injuries, Delic had decided to call it quits on the grid iron.  But after some time away, Delic decided he might have a few good years left in him after all.  Dalton, Georgia’s The Daily Citizen sat down with Delic and brought to light some issues most fans weren’t aware of.

— A Sea Of Blue takes a look at Randy Sanders’ ability to mold great quarterbacks and asks ‘Will Morgan Newton Be Next?’ There has been a lot of positivity come from the football program with regards to Newton lately, so he may be making the Sanders leap.  We won’t know until the games get under way, but until then we can all hope.

— Anthony Davis may already be looked at as the number one draft pick in 2012, but he’s focusing on Kentucky – not the NBA.  It’s pretty much a given that he will end up going to the draft, so this link isn’t to speculate on that issue.  But sometimes NBA prospects ignore the college season to focus on getting to that next step (see Josh Selby) so it’s good to hear the right things from Davis.

— DaJuan Coleman talks about his journey slimming down, in an attempt to improve his game.  Newsflash – he’s already really good.  But if he needs to jump in a pool to help shed some pounds, I know just the swim coach to help him out.

I was super disappointed when I heard Delic had to give up football. But now that he has decided to return next year this guy will start and be a solid contributer on the next few UK defenses. I think his JR and SR year he could be a 8-12 sack kind of guy who also does well against the run.
