Everyone’s got a weird pregame superstition, and Stanley Johnson is no exception. Johnson told USA Today’s Jason Jordan that he has to shower before every game, or he feels off his game:
“I lay out my uniform and socks and shoes and everything on the bed then I go take a shower before we leave for the game. Usually I wait til it’s about 20 minutes before we leave and I hop in the shower then. I always do this.”
It honestly makes my legs feel better and I feel so much more clean and prepared. I know it’s weird to take a shower before a game, but it’s my thing. It’s my routine. At this point I feel like I have to do it. It’d feel weird not doing it before a game.”
I hear the showers in the new Rupp locker room are awesome, Stanley.
