#1 I’m sure they will allow people to come in without tickets as well since they aren’t making extra money. I don’t really know why they did the ticket distribution

    I hope 30K+ show up.
With each person getting online and reserving 8 plus tickets per person that number may be a bit inflated.
Why not just promote it and open the doors and let everyone in first come first serve?

13- If 30,000+ do show up then it would be a mad rush for seats as soon as the doors open. Monday we would have every slow person/elderly/disabled person in the commonwealth complaining about how they couldn’t get good seats, it was unfair, yadda yadda. Worst case is we have a repeat of The Who concern disaster of 1979 in Cincinnati. I say better safe than sorry.

No matter what Mitch/UK do people are going to complain about.

are you kidding me? 80k people for a spring game. commonwealth wont even hold 80k!

The Arkansas number speaks volumes. UK is so similar to Arkansas. THE one state school, supports basketball, rural state, etc. My point is UK can just as easily be Arkansas. We are a football school and we are SEC.

39k tickets for a bottom feeder SEC program that has NO chance at a shot for a league championship or a BCS bowl? Doesnt make much sense to me…

I don’t know what crack you are smoking. When it comes to football its pretty clear UofL is tops in state right now, Arky cares infinitely more about football than UK and that spring game was going into the year with a top 10 ranking for UA

25- Over 30,000 coming to a practice after a 2 win season? Yea right- it’s obvious UK fans don’t care. Big East wins are not saying much these days… but I do like how you added “right now”. No way Arkansas cares more… at the time they’re pre-ranked in the top 10 and pull in 45,000. Again, we win 2 games the season before and are already over 30,000- the apathy is deafening!

I would just like to take this opportunity to say how much I hate Ticketmaster. $7.80 for 2 free tickets. That’s ridiculous. There are a million better and cheaper alternatives out there, too, which makes it even more infuriating.

Why are people complaining about a few bucks for a ticket? Simply ridiculous.

    3:23 pm March 4, 2013 Permalink

#31…Why hate Ticketmaster…They didn’t make UK do this, it was the other way around…Ala. has 90K…call and see who you get your tickets thru…A little hint: They don’t give out any…This is on UK totally

  34. Swimdawg

#20…Look at the list.. there are 8 SEC schools with over 31K in attendance last year which would put UK roughly at 9 which is closer to the bottom than it is the top.
