Josh Harrellson recently signed a 10-day contract with the Miami Heat. The Heat made a few moves to their roster to shore up some rebounding issues, and apparently Harrellson was not a part of the solution. The Heat signed veteran center Chris Andersen (also known as “Birdman)” and re-signed rookie power forward Jarvis Varnado (remember that guy?). After Harrellson’s 10-day contract expired, the Heat decided not to retain him. At least for now.
Spoelstra admitted that letting go of Harrellson was a tough decision, and that the 3-point shooting big man might still have a future with the Heat. “A very tough decision, a very tough decision. That might not be the end of his future with us.”
