South Carolina opens as 7.5-point favorite against Kentucky

Vegas has spoken, and the Big Blue Nation is probably not going to like it.

South Carolina has opened as a 7.5-point favorite against the Wildcats this Saturday in Columbia, SC.

Earlier today, Oscar Combs said the Gamecocks opened as 5-point favorites, and then the line moved up to 7.5, and now down to 6.5 by early betters.

Regardless, Kentucky will be heading on the road as the underdog to open up SEC play.

What do you guys think?

I think our guys will more than ready. They play up and down to competition. Example… Austin Peay 1 week, then UL the next week. This team will be ready to go and just as amped as SC. They definitely have a chip on their shoulders from the SEC Media days picking SC and all the Love fest for Bentley. We take em 31-21.

I could also see us losing this game. They are 2-0 and at home. It will be a good game and just bc we lose doesnt necesarily mean anything.

Desperately need to take Samuel out of the game. Could be the first player I’ve ever heard of to open a season with a kick off return for a TD in the first three games.

Ky is and should be an underdog playing at SC…

Seems fair. We stink right now, they are playing well. I expect us to lose there, by 7-14. Still a winnable game, though. If we play like we’re capable of.

This team is pretty bad. Im sure cats runnin and runnin wild think we are a playoff contender. Freddie M probably thinks that great eku win was huge. SC will and should win by 14+

UK has won 3 straight vs SC. The sharp money is on UK. UK has about equal if not better overall talent. We are 2-0 and haven’t even started playing for real yet. I bet you think wins over mediocre teams like Purdue and UNC are great, too. Lol. Louisville will choke in the end just like last season.

Shouldn’t you be worrying about your 15 second basketball coach and your Harley Davidson football coach?
No telling what they’ll do next.

Louisville fans are totally obsessed with UK. We don’t care about you. For the record UL was a 28 point favorite vs Purdue and was lucky to win. We have out recruited UL every year and have a good chance to beat them again. Oh, and we are 34-16 vs your cheating basketball team. UK owns UL.

I love the way everyone writes their team off. Samuel is a best so was Pharaoh Cooper. We haven’t played steep competition and SC has, I’ll give u that. But, we have been VERY vanilla in our offense and defensive schemes because of our competition. You’ve seen everything SC has.

It’s kinda funny we all think Bowden my be the most talented athlete on the team and none of us has seen him get to do anything YET. Don’t be surprised if he finally shows up for the first real test of the season.

Unless we can turn it around this year, I would love to see Brohm as our head coach.

Turn around…Really…. we’re 2-0…. 9-4 in our last 13 and have won 3 of last 4 on the road. Are you remotely familiar with UK football history?
