Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Sorry about that, Mason County.

mason2

Sometimes in life, mistakes are made, apologies are issued, and feet are placed in mouths. This is one of those times.

It has been brought to our attention that the Mason County school board never blocked KentuckySportsRadio.com on its computers. We did receive multiple tweets and e-mails this morning saying that was the case, but apparently it was a technical issue that kept KSR from working. Looking back, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that a site with reports about a Playboy model was blocked on computers used for education. I’m no IT guy but my guess is that might’ve had something to do with it.

I hope the Mason County school personnel will accept our apology and understand that we were never really upset; it was all in fun and it was a way to interact with our commenters through an imaginary #OccupyMaysville movement. We’ve been known to do things in the most ridiculous manner possible around here, in case you haven’t heard.

So to Associate Superintendent Kelly Middleton and everyone else… we’re sorry. We’d never intentionally do anything to hurt the county that gave us Darius Miller.

Go Cats.

Go Royals.

good lord. why do we trust anything this site says? really? just because print media is on a slow train to death, doesn’t mean the “new media” is any better.

typical. that is the only word i can think of to summarize this ‘story.’

Let me preface this statement by saying I am a huge KSR fan. Knowing Mr. Middleton and being a school administrator myself, I understand why he posted a response. While we come here for UK news delivered in the most “ridiculous manner possible” school administrators deal in realities. Had Mr. Middleton not responded, I’m sure he would be answering questions from parents and community members rather than doing his actual job, delivering a quality education to the students of Mason county. If a school makes any change or receives bad press, parents come out of the woodwork to let you know how they feel about it. It’s ok to make funny proclations and jokes in the “most ridiculous manner possible”, just realize that people take you seriously and that can impact people’s lives. Again, I’m a fan of your site and a card carrying member of the Big Blue Nation, just wanted to say Mr. Middleton isn’t a guy whI can’t take a joke. He was acting responsibly. Stay classy KSR.

33 – that is to assume that Mason County delivers a quality education to begin with. Regardless, Drew Franklin is apparently an untrusted, unvetted source of information that we can no longer trust, but just like a train wreck, I cannot take my eyes away.

Drew, continue to post as is…even if the information is spotty, at least you give me a reason to not focus on my job.

I appreciate the kind words Richie. I have now received several calls and emails today letting my know I am on KSR. Why not get on here and talk some more? I have really enjoyed this bantering. I was the assistant coach for Rowan County when you poured in about 40 on us the first game of the state tournament many years ago. We had a player by the name of Greg Atkins on our team that actually blocked one of your long shots and one can actually see the rotation on the ball change in the air as it was tipped. (We watched the film several times) the ball still went right in the basket. I really enjoyed watching you play every game except for that one. I watched a Clay County 1-4 Offense work against every possible defense.
    Thanks again
