DeSales – perhaps a day late, but I listened to the tape of yesterday’s show. DeSales is NOT on Preston. It is near Iroqouis Park on Kenwood Dr. All boys school that has a few famous(?) alumni…Bubba Paris from SF 49ers, Cris Carter former NFL DB and current Churchill Downs president Kevin Flannery. Kevin, Cris and I all graduated in’83.

Also loved the Conway Twitty chatter…right on the money.

    Go Colts! And Kats!

Add Texas A&M to the West and then add Clemson to the East. Clemson has long been considered an SEC school playing in the ACC. Especially considering Clemson’s rivalry with South Carolina and also Georgia. Would be perfect. The only other ACC team that would fit would be Florida State.

  32. bigbluemist
    10:25 am August 11, 2011 Permalink

Josh did a good job trying to find something to complain about. Players and recruits routinely say UK has great fball facilities and some of the best in the SEC. The stadium is old. so what-check out the practice fields, nutter training center. LOTS of dough has been poured in what gets recruits and better players. The tailgate set up is PERFECT. Commonwealth needs some upgrades and they know that(and are addressing it!)

A and M is a bad idea. Keep it in the South East with Clemson and Florida State. It will give in state rivals to Florida and South Carolina to build on. The plus to Kentucky fan is these schools don’t give a damn about basketball and will be added easy wins like the rest of the SEC.

IF we add 4 schools to the SEC how long do you think it will be until the SEC has SEC basketball tourneys and SEC football championship games in those states? You know Jerry Jones would love to have the SEC championship game at Cowboys Stadium. Also it could be held at Reliant Stadium in Houston or the Alamodome in San Antonio. With league expansion the SEC basketball tourney could be held at American Airlines Center in Dallas or the NBA arena in Oklahoma City.

this is off topic but the term “in the cut” has a wide range of potential uses and has been said since ’02-’03. I am 100% caucasion and learned the word in boot camp after hearing it implemented often and it stuck out to me cause i thought it was such a weird word. im sure it originated down “souf” and my friends and i begun using the word jokingly….now as a 29 year old professional and father i use it often and to my surprise (when consciously thinking about it)not jokingly. in short, chip cosby was 100% wrong….it has nothing to do with cutting hair. he’s probably thinking this because different “hood” barber shops in different cities have adopted that term as a name for their establishment.

i wanted to expand upon the caller the other day’s description of how to use it…he was right, but my form of using it is right as well. i like to form sentences involving the word in question more like this….”…………playing the cut” say youre into paintball….if you like to hang back and give support fire, or snipe or just provide recon, you are “playing the cut”…..if you are at a bar and your pimp game has more to do with taking a seat in a low key spot and letting potential candidates pass by rather than endlessly approaching girls, you are “playing the cut”…..u are into gang fighting for some reason and wanting to approach the opposition from the side to increase you and your team’s odds, you are “playing the cut”……i live on a farm and find myself using more when im dissecting halo playstyles or describing dog interactions than i ever would in other cases. so to sum up, it’s a great term and i’d love to hear it added into matt jone’s vocab. im in a hurry and cant even reread this so if there are mispellings i appologise

The only reason I can think of why the NCAA doesn’t want to play the atheletes is because all the “Other” money won’t go into that NCAA bank account and they won’t get their 6% to 9% yearly raises. I don’t know if we’re talking strictly BCS schools here but my alma mater is no slouch in the pretty lady department. I mean, we’re national champs in partying at least. I’d recommend showing up the week right after spring break once it’s warm and all the babes are out laying in the sun in their bikinis… in Ohio.
