You may remember the story from earlier this year that all-time leading UK scorer Dan Issel had filed for bankruptcy. Well those proceedings apparently have moved forward, as now the various things he owned are being sold. Unfortunately that includes UK memorabilia, as seen by this EBay auction of his 1969 UK All-American ring. The ring is being sold and there are 23 days left to bid on it, with a starting asking price of $5,000. My assumption is that the proceeds will go to the bankruptcy proceedings.
Issel certainly isnt the first and he wont be the last, person to go through bankruptcy. But there is something sad to me in seeing the UK legend’s gear from his glory days being sold to the highest bidder.
