The big game is coming Saturday at noon, so here are a few tidbits:
— For the first time, I will be sending Twitter news during the game, live from the stadium. If there are injury reports, news tidbits, etc, we will be sending it out via Twitter. That allows you to keep up with the news if you are at the game, at home or just walking down the street. If you havent already, sign up for the Kentucky Sports Radio twitter account and turn the mobile device settings to ON for KSR. That will allow you to get the info during the game. I will be doing this during football and basketball and think it will add some good stuff to the viewing experience.
— If the press box wireless is working, we will do a live blog from the game beginning at 11:30 am. We dont have field access tomorrow, so I will use the time to talk about the game on here.
— UK continues to tell us to tell the fans to please arrive early due to traffic. They are expecting serious traffic issues, so get there early.
— Those of you who dont have ESPNU, that is going to be a problem this year. Lots of football and basketball games will end up on that channel. Not to just plug our sponsors, but the Dish Network folks on the web banner above have a special and if you mention KSR, the price is pretty good. I would look into it.
— Finally, The Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati UK Alumni Club and the UK Alumni Association are hosting the “Rumble on the River” tailgate event prior to the Wildcats’ season opener against Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 5. The event is 9:30 — 11:30 a.m. at the B&B Riverboat, docked on the Ohio River near the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, in close proximity to Paul Brown Stadium. There will be food, drinks and a cash bar….stop by if you can.
So there you go….its going to be fun in Cincy….
