A few weeks ago, there were rumors that superstar big man Andre Drummond was mulling the possibility of reclassifying to 2011 and adding his name to what could turn out to be the most star-studded year of college hoops in recent memory. Those rumors were shot down. Now, they’re swirling again. According to Jeff Goodman of CBS, Drummond has not ruled out entering college this fall. At the moment, Drummond has UK in his list of possible schools, along with UConn, UNC, Florida, Louisville, Georgetown and Pitt. However, he’s long been said to be essentially a lock for Connecticut and considering they put out the same early enrollment offer to Mitch McGary, assuming the Huskies are the ones driving this idea isn’t far-fetched.
Should Drummond remain in the class of 2012, he’s already in play for Goodman’s top overall player in the class. And a comparison to Amar’e Stoudemire. Not bad.
Watch him abuse people.
