Six Wildcats named to AP All-SEC Team

This picture is great every time.

Trevard Lindley and Tim Masthay were named to the first team All-SEC defensive squad, as selected by the Associated Press. Matt posted the coaches’ selections yesterday, so if you had those in the “Which All-SEC team will be announced first on KSR?” pool, congratulations you’ve won a ‘Fear the Woo’ shirt that will probably never be sent to you. OT Garry Williams, picked for the second-team, was the Wildcats’ only offensive selection. DT Myron Pryor was named to the second-team defense, and probably could have made first team if he wasn’t still out of breath from the fumble return against the filthy Cards. Pryor’s line-mate Jeremy Jarmon and linebacker Micah Johnson received honorable mention.

The AP’s major season-ending awards for the conference shape up as follows:

Offensive P.O.Y–Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
Defensive P.O.Y.–Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Coach of the Year–Nick Saban, Head Coach, Alabama
Freshman of the Year–Julio Jones, WR, Alabama

You can see the rest of the selections here.
