Sights from Fan Day

They must have planned this QB battle pose.

Couldn’t make it out to Fan Day? We’ve got you covered with photos from Regina Rickert and later, we’ll have a full Fan Day breakdown from our own Nick Roush, who of course will discuss the quarterback competition on everyone’s mind. Here’s a preview–Jalen Whitlow looked crisp and confident, Max Smith, not so much.

The actual game-play may not have been up to par with the team suiting up in Commonwealth for the first time since the spring game, but Coach Stoops didn’t want the weather, schedule, or location to be an excuse, saying “it’s just not acceptable practice.”

But it wasn’t all doom and gloom, Stoops admitted “We’re a lot better right now even though, again, this wasn’t one of our better practices. That’s why we practice: We need to get better. But overall we’re executing better than in the spring by far.”

But this day was about the fans who, despite the weather, lined up to get autographs that the coaches and players signed for over an hour.

Tight ends Jordan Aumiller and Tyler Robinson sign autographs.

Avery Williamson and Kory Brown made a new friend.

Demarco Robinson and Jeff Badet looked comfortable signing autographs Friday.

I’m guessing Sandy Bell watched those autograph tables like a hawk to make sure no money changed hands!

That is definitely not Javess Blue w/ Jeff Badet. It is obviously Demarco Robinson from not only his appearance, but his jersey number. Duh!

I’m sorry, but all 4 of our QB’s mechanics look horrible.

Lines at every gate to get in for posters, autographs. Several left after this I guess due to showers and threat of showers. Crowd watching not representative of actual attending. Guess you should of been there to experience for yourself

Was great to see the players and coaches having fun signing autographs and interacting with the fans. Maybe it’s just me but the players and coaches seem to have a swagger and an upbeat attitude.

I was there, and yes it was packed–especially the autograph lines. Stoops line took the cake as it stretched from the east endzone, turned right at the (rally in the)alley, then a left again up the hill in front of the Nutter Ctr.
