Show Some Style With The Sunday Morning Links

In football it’s difficult to get a gauge on a lot of players personalities. There’s 11 guys on both sides of the ball, special teams guys, reserves, and so on. It’s no surprise that most often the player you know the most about is the guy that is most visible, the quarterback. That’s why it’s refreshing to get a glimpse of the personality of Manchester, Kentucky’s own Jacob Hyde.  The Defensive Tackled rolled to the Clay County prom last night on the Big Blue Tractor pictured above in Clay County crazy prom vehicle tradition. He brought with him some Sunday Morning Links, let’s get to them:

-With the weakest NBA draft going down this year in quite some time it’s hard to say where anybody is going to end up. Nerlens Noel still tops Jonathan Givony’s board while Archie Goodwin is now up to 17th. Check out Draft Express’ entire list here.

-Need more Nike Hoop Summit info? Here’s a recap of last night’s action. Followed by this article with a video of the top 15 plays of the game.

-Who is 6 foot 1, weighs in at 228 pounds, and just gave his verbal to the Cats? Mikel Horton that’s who.

-Speaking of football, the Lex Herald lays out the two wins Coach Stoops needs most in 2013. Story says that Coach has got to win the first one and the last one.

-Finally a nice story from the courier-journal that describes Marcus Lee’s path to UK. The only way the big man was going to earn a college education was with a scholarship so he set out to do whatever it took to earn one.

Glad to see Jacob get some nice press. This is a very nice young man. I have had a chance to talk to him and the Qb from Lexington Catholic at the state tourny (Basketball) They were hanging out together. Both very classy and well spoken. They will both represent their communities very well.

The Marcus Lee story sounds very similar to the Anthony Davis story. 6-2 to 6-9 and has incredible shot blocking skills plus his early guard talents. Amazing to think, Kentucky might have 2 of them within 3 years!

Great article on Lee. Cal should not have to get on him about effort, like most of the team this year. I look forward to watching him play.
