(He’s the one on the left.)
During the slow and insipid summer of 2008, former KSR wordsmith Evan Hilbert profiled each and every member of the University of Kentucky football team. Though his knowledge was sparse and his research was far from thorough, Evan’s short and insufficient player profiles were an integral part of Kentucky’s success that season. UK finished with seven wins, including the opener at Louisville and a 25-19 victory in the Liberty Bowl. Kentucky hasn’t won a bowl game since. Let’s bring back that magic…
#26 COSHIK WILLIAMS
Weight: 184 lbs.
Position: Running back
Hometown: Hiram, GA
High School: Hiram
Something You Didn’t Know About Him
Other than the NFL, his dream is to be a real estate agent.
Something We Made Up About Him
He landed a supporting role in the rollerskating classic ATL, but his high school football schedule interfered with filming so he was forced to give up the role to the T.I.
Items of Legitimate Interest
Injuries to Raymond Sanders and Josh Clemons opened the door for Williams in 2011, when he rushed for a team-high 486 yards in nine games. He started the final five games of the season, scoring three touchdowns as a starter, including the game-winning touchdown against Tennessee.
Unfair NFL Comparison
Warrick Dunn, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer
Same size. Similar style. No Cat Fancy cover, thankfully.
Outlook for 2012
Williams will be competing with Raymond Sanders and Josh Clemons for the starting spot in the backfield in 2012.
He is listed as the starter in the post-spring offensive depth chart, although the spot is completely up for grabs in fall camp.
