Oh well. Good luck to him. If he goes there, in modern day-terms, he’s just going to be a big fish in a small pond. UCLA has great history, but decades of mediocrity and empty seats are all they’ve had in awhile. Maybe he’ll be enough to drag them back into relevance? Or at least convince the guys that punting basketballs into the rafters after practice just to make the trainers chase them down is a little less than classy?

It seems unlikely that Cal would have agreed to a 30-minute interview during tonight’s announcement special if he did not believe he was definitely going to get at least one of these kids… doesn’t it? I guess he could use tonight’s interview to talk up his program (as if it needs it) to people like Bennett and Amile??? Still seems unlikely to me.

Being the favorite all the time made me drink too much this year. There was nothing to win this year, only stuff to lose. Winning the championship was more of a relief than a joy. Now, that’s a wonderful problem to have, but a year of being “really good” rather than “absurdly dominant” doesn’t sound so bad.

  41. Harry potter

I would have liked to have had him but he doesn’t seem to fit Cal’s mold of team first. Judging by the number of shots he takes, he’s probably used to being in control of everything. Best of luck to him

We have a real shot at Pollard right now… Cal is really turning up the heat on him and Amile Jefferson. I’m telling you right now that Amile Jefferson would be a great addition. Not a one and done… good athlete and a very very high motor. Can play 3/4 and is a great energy player.

Pollard of course would soften the loss of Bazz but we really need 6 guys in this class.

How come no one is talking about me??? I’m 7’0 225 and I’m athletic enough to play WR. My potential is thru the roof.

LMFAO @110….Holy shit dude REALLY? And Siva is going to be your savior? That’s almost funny, he’ll do well if he makes it to the DNBA next year. He might be able to get in the WNBA if he shaves that freaking line beard…..Maybe New Albany HS might have a player that that quick Rich can recruit!

UK isn’t for everyone.. You heard Cal.. well especially no one can coach like Cal does. This is another league. College is alot different than High School. Cal will assemble a good team and still recruit. Take a deep breath. And we have a great class coming in. I love the style and play of these young freshmen. We are as of right now #3 recruiting class.. (as of right now) BBN needs to act like BBN and not like a division II college. ๐Ÿ™‚

Richard just showed his lack of inteligence, were gonna wind up with the #1 recruiting class anyway and I’m not sure Teague or Lamb leaves so we will remain very strong!!!!

Saw a mock draft today that had Teague #10 but didn’t have Lamb in first round at all. Thinking Lamb could come back. Wish Teague all the luck in the world…he’ll have a bright future but don’t think a GM will pick him a 10 spot in first round.

I’m not trying to sound stupid, but I love archie and would take him over shabazz. They both get after it on defense, but archie doesn’t need 20 shots a game. His stoke is beautiful as well. He will start hitting it consistently

WHO is this?? His Twitter account is drying up as we speak. I feel a little bit sorry for him because he looked SO miserable when he was making the announcement. But, he obviously couldn’t take the pressure required by Cal and the program. Good luck, kid.

First off good luck to Shabazz. Any school would be crazy not to want him. This will however keep us from getting some unwanted attention from the NCAA. I’m sure Shabazz knew he wouldn’t be shooting the ball 20 + times a game as well as Cal will sit your butt if you don’t play D. That is why Cal stated UK is not for everyone. We have a great class which is nowhere complete at this point in time.

Really doesn’t make much sense on the surface. Being closer to home must have played a big part in his decision. Or maybe the opportunity to be the focal point in the offense. At UK, he would have to share the spotlight and the ball as well. I’m very happy with who we’ve got and who may committ later.

I wish we could have got Shabazz, personally I think it was
an ego thing for him. Some guys can’t stand not to be “the man”.

I think Noel will be a good team player and fit into Cal’s
    system and philosphy
