It wouldn’t be college football without way too early bowl projections, and it wouldn’t be August with Kentucky slotted to play in the Music City Bowl. But with so many question marks headed in to the season (and a number of publications predicting an end to the bowl streak,) it’s a good sign that Kentucky gets the nod to bowl eligibility from the World Wide Leader. Nashville may not be the most exciting bowl destination, but it’s one that Kentucky fans flock to – including Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson who made a surprise appearance last time we were there.
One match up has Kentucky playing Georgia Tech and the other Miami (FL) who, knowing the speed that the NCAA moves at, will have just had 50 members of it’s team declared ineligible, allowing for UK to beat up on the water boys.
Of course it is obviously way too early for anyone to believe in any bowl projections, but when you have Mississippi State playing in the Chic-fil-A bowl, that’s what we Wildcat fans call an opening.
