Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Saturday Morning Links

 – So what’s happening in Tennessee?  Nothing.  Just a little two-year self-imposed probation for the Vols athletics programs.  The news became public yesterday that the Vols placed these sanctions on themselves back in May because it was easier to stomach than actually putting their lips on the butts of the Committee on Infractions.  That committee, by the way, still will rule in a few weeks and possibly add to the sanctions.  As Not Jerry Tipton said, Tennessee putting themselves on a two-year probation is like Vin Diesel removing himself from Oscar consideration for Fast Five.

 – Kentucky defensive end Jacob Lewellen is a good dude.  Read about him.

 – Sports hate is innocent.  Sports hate is fun.  Actually hating people because of the team they root for?  Maybe a little too much.  The Orlando Sentinel’s hemorroid, Mike Bianchi, writes about the hatred between Auburn and Alabama fans, which was the basis for Nick Saban and Gene Chizik talking tolerance between the fan bases this week in Hoover.

– Coach Cal hung out with Jerry Tarkanian in Vegas yesterday. Cal talked about basketball, Tark just said “Turtle, turtle” over and over.

 – In the Baltimore Sun, there’s a profile of Kentucky’s newest member of the 2011 football class, Travaughan Paschal, who spent last season at Fork Union Military Academy.  The 6’4″ 245 pound defensive lineman ended up playing the extra season after his teammate broke his arm at a postseason team dinner.  That’s it.  Just kind of interesting.  And fills space.

Hey, maybe the kids are alright after all…

On the Wrongness Scale, how bad is it that those two elves are really doing something for me (unless they’re under 18, in which case they are totally NOT doing anything for me)?

    2. So long as they are over 18, it’s not wrong dude. Elves need love too.

Hmmm, who is the old guy in the red shirt (in the level below) who seems to be directing the kid to give the ball away? I think there is more here than meets the eye… usual.

#5 I saw the same thing, but that very same old guy was the one who handed the ball to the first kid. Pretty strange.

5 – yeah, the attendant who gave the kid the ball directed him to give it up at the 31″ mark. But you know, the kid still gets a ton of credit for giving up the ball willingly. That was not an easy thing to do, and he didn’t even balk. As for the kid who ended up with the ball, he received positive reinforcement for throwing a tantrum. Good luck with that, mom.

I love the elves look, and they are over 18, you just have to ask at the beginning when the camera is running. (legality)

Oh, my friends, I have bad news about the two “Links”.

If my memory serves me, that is an old picture that made the rounds and upset quite a few people when they learned one of the two is a dude.

Still do it for you #1?
