Saturday Morning Links

Good morning!!!  How are things?  Good deal.  Kentucky plays LSU today.  Yeah, it’s at 4:00.  Matt will live blog at 3:30 if you’re interested.  Good deal.  Links…

— Over at Cat Scratches, Eric Lindsey says Brandon Knight is stepping out of John Wall’s shadow.  I thought we were never ever, ever, ever supposed to compare the two.

— Your favorite Kentucky writer not named Matt Jones writes that opposing coaches thinks Kentucky is harder to guard this year than last year.  “Not a lot of holes” in this team, says LSU’s head coach.

— There is some unfinished business for Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy.  Like, playing defense in the first half.  (I kid because I love.)

As Randall Cobb goes, how goes Kentucky football?

I know the smurfs sucked. Bugs Bunny was/is timeless -especially with yo samity sam raising hell. Now, everything is like sci-fi or some kinda stuff.

Oh, for sure…cartoons really suck these days.

Phineas and Ferb is about the best thing going, IMO.

I am surprised that “Tom & Jerry” has lasted from decade to decade. Saw it on cartoon network with my 12 year old earlier. I liked it a million years ago but didn’t know it had the carryover appeal..LOL

Now that Matt has left the blog, it’s much more child-friendly. Matt is anti-kid. I was shocked when Beez posted the baby pic yesterday. A true indication of the regime change.

Any of those Hanna-Barbera cartoons were just quality. When I watched them in the 80’s most of them were ALREADY 30-40 years old.

#21-I’ve not been watching (see above), but my understanding is that it was mostly students. Cold weather in Knox likely kept some away, but it’s absurd to think that GameDay at UT (for basketball) would have 10 or 15K–ESPECIALLY since the only ones allowed at gameday were those who are going to the game.

It’s not like when UK hosted. The arena opened up for gameday, closed, and then reopened for the game that night. Different circumstance for this gameday.

#24-who even knows anymore??? I think Vandy is really good, but we’ll see. The Pearl situation is bothering this team, and not having him on the sideline is hurting. I think Vandy wins by 8-10, unfortunately. I hope I’m wrong, though.

    27. I’m kinda thinkin Vandy takes it too, but not by much. I agree, the Pearl absence is having a negative effect. The players just don’t seem comfortable.
