University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Saturday Morning Hot Links

Sadly, there is no basketball game today.  We all have to wait it out until Tuesday.  But, the good news is that this respite from hoops will give you sufficient time to celebrate the birth of Carney Lansford, who graced ever kid’s folder when I was in third grade.  I’m not sure why or how that happened, but it did.  Happy Birthday Carney.  Now, here are a few UK links…

– The New York Times writes that the SEC is struggling right now

 – The Gainesville Sun writes that Florida’s defense faces a major challenge against Kentucky (I’m assuming they’re talking about Patterson and Meeks and no one else)

 – The Gators and the Cats are both making the most of the down time before Tuesday’s game

 – John Clay says that you should thank the UK football stars of yesterday for the recruiting successes of today

 – Darius Miller and Michael Porter would prefer it if you would stop yelling for them to shoot because you don’t know the offense

 – The improved defensive play of Tennessee can be attributed to:  Jodie Meeks

 – The Ledger Independent (Maysville) is not happy with the job Gillispie has done so far

 – Jeff Goodman says that “UK, Meeks fading fast”
