Rise and shine, Cats fans! It’s IU beatdown time! Make sure to eat a hearty breakfast while looking over these pregame links:

— Over in enemy territory, the Indy Star has an article about Indiana’s attempts to keep their fans from selling tickets to Kentucky fans. Good luck. #BlueGetsIn

Larry Vaught has a nice piece about Marquis Teague and how Saturday’s game will test his continued development under Calipari.

John Clay put together a gaggle of notes about today’s matchup.

According to Jody Demling, 2013 PF Derek Willis will attend today’s game at Assembly Hall. If you’re up on your recruiting news, you’ll remember that Cal and Rick Pitino watched Willis play earlier this week. His list includes the Cats, the Cards, the Hoosiers and Purdue.

The women’s volleyball team suffered a tough loss to Texas last night in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The ladies gave it their all, but ultimately fell to the number one ranked team in the nation, 3-1 in front of a crowd of over 4,000 at Memorial Coliseum.

The AP’s got a story up about Cal’s comments about his future at Kentucky from yesterday.

The Magic signed DeAndre Liggins, fellow draftee Justin Harper, and veterans Larry Hughes and Gabe Pruitt yesterday. The team has not disclosed the terms of the deal, but it’s likely that all four will receive non-guaranteed contracts and have to earn their spot on the roster during training camp. DeAndre will wear #34 in Orlando.

Finally, enjoy this video from tiny Taylor University, where they engage in a tradition called “Silent Night,” in which students cheer like mad when the tenth point of the game is scored. Maybe they should try it at Assembly Hall today so the IU fans can feel good about themselves for a least a little bit.

More all day as we head towards game time. Are you ready?

An I the only one who thinks Wiltjer will have a big game today? This is a game where he can guard his man so he should get some clock. He may be big for us shooting the rock.

The shirt will sell well only in Indiana. It’s an epic matchup for them, not for anyone else.

Why can’t Aaron ever tell us who wrote the article like Tyler does? Is it that hard to include the name?

If IU had not mouthed off and cursed and tweeted to Cal they way they did and with so much hatred, I dont think we would be putting a whole lot of stock into their newfound confidence. But all they did is write a check that the basketballs team ass cant cash. Yeah an upset is not impossible, but IU is not UNC or Kansas for that matter. Their 8 and 0 record is about the same as ULs. Who have they played lol?

EPIC MATCHUP? This is pathetic and you’ll have a buttload of shirts left over. This is a game of irrelevance……

Played against Taylor U on their so called “silent night”. It’s actually an awesome small college experience. Not very many schools at that level have anything that compares to their crowd on that night.

IU “fans” are so funny…”ah I didn’t know if I wanted to go to this game…” ha ha. UK sells out almost every game! That is why their is a buzz about tickets! It’s because… (drum roll please) UK is coming! UK is coming! So now IU wants to jump on the coatails of any kind of relevance that they can get. How sad. If UK was playing Purdue today half of those “IU fans” would be THERE talkin’ bout how they love the boilermakers. It comes down to fighting the toughest kid in school. You don’t have to win, just show that you are brave enough to fight him and you’ll get respect. That is what IU is trying to do now and it is so darn cute. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!
