Samardo Samuels to miss tonight’s game with a MPP

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without reserve center Samardo Samuels when the team plays in Toronto this evening. The former Louisville center and Rick Pitino’s highest-rated recruit ever is out with a MPP — a misplaced passport.

Samuels will rejoin the team when they return to America.

#PassportProblems. Typical.

I was listening to the radio here in New Orleans this morning and caught an interview
with former LSU coach Dale Brown. Here are some stats for those people who say
Hoops don’t matter in the rest of the SEC:

From Wiki article about Dale Brown:
LSU Basketball Records Established from 1972-1997
    Most Overall Wins – 448
    Most SEC Wins – 238
    Most Wins in a Season – 31
Most Consecutive Wins in a Season – 26
Most Consecutive SEC Wins in a Season – 17
    Most Consecutive Non-Losing Seasons – 17
    Most SEC Championships – 4
    Most SEC 1st Division finishes – 18
Only SEC Tournament Championship – 1980
    Most Wins over Kentucky – 18 of LSU’s 24
    Most NCAA tournament Appearances – 13 of LSU’s 20
    Most Consecutive national tournaments – 15 of LSU’s 24
    Most Final Four appearances – 2 of LSU’s 4
Highest Finish in the polls – 2nd in 1980
Scored the Most Points in a Single Game – 159, and the 2nd most -148
    **************************************************************************************************
Lemme tell y’all somethin’, Mr. Dale Brown is hella proud to have had more wins in
the SEC than our beloved Adolph Rupp. Notice that “Most wins over Kentucky”
has its own stat! You gotta be proud of that, people!

Don’t tell me hoops don’t matter in the SEC! Did y’all see that Bama game last night?!? GOODNESS!

    GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

I rather like Dale Brown. He was GREAT for the SEC. But I “LOVED” Dale Brown when we came back from 31 points down in Baton Rouge. While the teams broke for half time Joe Dean senior (who was LSU’s AD at the time and called games on ESPN)ran on to the court and damn near jumped on Old DB’s back as they were walking off the court. Only have it shit on him at the end of the game. I still have that game on tape.
Dale Brown was always a gentleman both on and off the court.

I remember the pitino was asked what he was thinking when uk was down 31. He. Said he looked across the court and thought that as long as dale brown was the coach uk still had a chance.

I can’t believe a pro team would trust the players to keep track of their passports.

Dale Brown was a great recruiter but a poor game coach. IMO
