Sam Malone out for the season

malone

The WBA added another office chair player today. UK just announced that Sam Malone tore his ACL late in the game against Chattanooga and he’ll miss the remainder of the season. Malone had knee problems throughout high school and it’s the fourth time he’s injured the knee.

Unfortunate news for a young man living the dream and we hope he has a speedy recovery. Fans love watching Malone late in the game, because when he checks in, he is looking to score.

If he was a starter I wonder how many on here would be complaining about Cal not developing the bench?
    Answer = LOTS!

A player for the University of Kentucky is injured and has probably just seen the end of his basketball career; so the fans of the University of Kentucky basketball team bash him and don’t care. You’re pathetic. You’re probably sitting at home in your mothers basement wishing you had the life this kid has.

#11, couldn’t agree more. It seems like the comments section of KSR has turned in to an attempt at the comedy hour. Not that I don’t like comedy, but some of this stuff is just to juvenile. I sure hope this represents a .00001% of our fan base; if they are UK fans.

11, I don’t know about my mother’s basement, but yes I would love to still be in college hooking up with anything that moves and partying every night. That does sound like a pretty good wish.

A little common courtesy and just a bit of empathy might be in order. Anyone having had a significant orthopedic injury would understand.

The real question is, why is a player of this caliber playing so late in the game

Was hoping he’d see some action against Samford.
Hope he heals quickly and sticks around to graduate, learns as much as he can from CAL, helps the team, and coaches someday.

Bummer but at least Rob Bromley has something to talk about on his injury report. First Jones and now this.

    17. i have a feeling the losers on here posting negative crap about the young man’s injury, are the same Loserville asswads that have been here all week posing as UK fans. Moderation is definitely needed, and many of us have volunteered to do so (myself included), but it hasn’t happened. I guess the extra clicks mean more than keeping it clean.

On the week TJ’s finger took a wrong turn at Albiquirky – yall want to talk about a bartender from the 80’s?

Malone was a walk, therefore Khem Birch cannot sign. He’s likely gone. Hopefully Cal can do some finaggling, because Birch is a top tier player

It was sad watching him driving the game and losing the ball, i thought he was faking an injury to help his injured pride but guess not. Get well norm.

The real question is: Does CAL owe another dad a favor?
Malone, likely, will stick around in some ‘in-capacity’.
Yet, perhaps next year another walk-on will arrive.
    Nothing wrong with that.
    Look at Massiello; he’s coaching.
I think its great for the kid and great for the program.

Loserville fans out – big time. Have you all noticed that the TARDS seem to get busy on this sight at the end of the month? Once the welfare check comes around the 3rd of each month they are busy sucking the spit out of the bottom of their malt liquor double deuce.

I have no reason to stay at the end of the game and cheer anymore. But seriously this is very unfortunate because he is a teammate and he has more influence on the players than we do as fans.
