From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee, across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea. From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A. There’s pride in every American heart and it’s time we stand and say that Rajon Rondo made the final Team USA roster. Rondo joins a loaded Amurrican backcourt with Chauncey B-B-B-Billups, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, and Stephen Curry.
When asked if he thought Rondo was an unconventional selection for international league play, coach Mike Kryzewskwszkiszsi stood up for Rajon’s game:
“He’s unconventionally become an NBA champion and a triple double guy in this league. I think he’s an adequate shooter for us. He did well shooting the ball in the camp. The thing that Rondo does is he plays with a will to win and he just finds ways to have a positive impact on the game. I really like that about him.”
Team Amurrica will play France in an exhibition game on August 15th for Tony Parker’s citizenship and the official naming rights of deep fried potato strips.
The 2010 FIBA World Championship begins August 28th and we will win because we are better than every country in the world.
