Rick Pitino confirmed today that he will be getting a tattoo to commemorate Louisville’s run through the NCAA tournament. The tattoo, believe it or not, will not be Pat Forde’s initials on his grundle, but of the Louisville Cardinal with “2013 Champions” across it. He plans to tattoo that filth on his left shoulder.

I ain’t hate’n on him for it. I think it’s pretty cool he’s following up on the promise to his players to get a tattoo if they won it all.
Actually, it will be comprised of two birds, the red male (Pitino), and the brown female (Karen Sypher), and will symbolize two different but related runs.

Pitino says now Russ smith is 50/50 on his decision to enter the draft. It is unbelievable to see how his players believe that junk he is selling. In my opinion, Smith and Behannan should go pro as this is the best draft and may cost them hundreds of thousand dollars by delaying their opportunity to go pro.
I like pitino, but this is an obvious case of Pitino manipulating his players for his own personal agenda. If Behannan and Russ Smith both come back, then they will win the national championship again. I hate that as much as I do if Duke was to win it. louisville will win it again if Smith comes back —remember this post.

DK, seems like I recall Jurich and the majority of “Card Nation” running your former HOF coach out of his job in order to bring in UK’s sloppy seconds. Frankly, I’m surprised Crum still hangs around UofL after the shabby treatment he received. Three short years ago a good portion of “Card Nation” was ready to run Pitino out of town on a rail after he shagged a skank in a public restaurant then paid for her abortion, and then furthermore paid his equipment manager to marry her so she would keep quiet.
Don’t forget about “SamakiGate”, when UofL came within a whisker of major sanctions for repeated violations while already on probation. the only reason they were bailed out is because Jurich hired a slick lawyer with past connections to the NCAA to get them off the hook on a technicality.
For the record, I have nothing against Pitino, and have a lot of respect for his coaching ability and have a lot of gratitude for what he did while at UK. Leaving UK, he will freely admit, was amongst the worst decisions of his life – almost as bad as his decision to put on the wine goggles one evening and sow his wild oats. Card fans may want to claim him as their own, but keep in mind that their success over the past 12 years was predicated on the success of UK – both the hiring of Pitino in the first place, and the fact years later that UK’s hiring of Calipari gave him the impetus to actually start coaching again rather than mailing it in and chasing skanks.
