I love Rich Brooks. There is no person around the UK program who seems more down to earth and like a regular person that would live on your street than Papaw Brooks. But Rich is hip as well. He knows that with the Calipari twitter fad taking off, he needs to be part of the action as well and the Rich Brooks twitter posts are great. This morning as we began our Mothers Day, I looked at Brooks’ latest twitter post:
Planted some tomatos yesterday and can’t wait for them to start. I love fresh tomatos
You can just see it cant you? Brooks outside yesterday, enjoying the weather and working on his tomatoes. He remembers he needs to send a Twitter message and says to himself, “well what am I doing? I am working with tomatoes. That is what I will send.” And just like your grandfather if he decided to twitter, Brooks told us that he loves tomatoes. I am going to miss Rich Brooks when he is gone, if for no other reason than this. In the world of IPods, text messaging and Twitter, Rich loves to plant tomatoes. Go Get em Papaw.
