Ricardo Ledo goes to Puerto Rico

Kentucky target and the man who visited Providence in the most memorable way possible, Ricardo Ledo, is in Puerto Rico right now trying out for the Puerto Rican national team.  Reports say he’s doing well and will probably make the team, regardless of how many times he’s caught picking his nose while sitting next to JJ Barea.  The website Boricuas Ballers caught up with Ledo to talk about his tryout and even shot some footage of him playing off the ball and defending large Puerto Rican men.  It is exhilerating.  Make sure you check it out.

So what is all the hype about regarding Ledo?  This.

louisville and RP STOPPED recruiting him because of all his baggage!!! He’s known all over the HS ranks as being trouble, so why again are we wanting this guy?

#3 I agree. When I first saw the video on KSR I thought meh. He looks a lot better in the one that Jones Returns posted.

2, see DeMarcus Cousins. He was known as trouble, having a bad attitude. But we all know Cal is the master at getting the best of his players. Cal is just as bull headed as the next and if Ledo wants to have attitude, he will easily sit his ass down or make him run like he did Josh. The guy is a talent and if Cal wants him, then get him. He looks to be a taller DLamb. He may have attitude, but I havent see any big headedness outta him like I did outta Quincy Miller, Tony Wroten, Lance Stephenson, etc. Cal will do what’s best. But I’m sure Ledo is a backup plan to Goodwin.

Ledo reminds me of Lamb w/ a little more hops. Great shooter, good floater, excellent finisher around the rim. If Cal gets him here, I bet he could adjust any attitude issues quickly….

Hey Beis-guy, you keep dropping the line about Ledo and his visit, but I can’t find anything on what went down. Got a story or a link?

@5, excellent point! Coach CAL would love to have the kid on his team, et al, ad infinitum; hence the coaching gig with the D.R. National squad. Did not ‘former’ (i.e., at that time, very successful) KENTUCKY Coach Rick Pitino relinquish an opportunity to coach the P.R. National/state/”commonwealth” team this summer?
