Report: Steven Borden has signed with Kentucky

After visiting campus over the weekend, it appears that Texas JuCo TE Steven Borden, son of WCW wrestler Sting, has signed with the Cats. According to Aaron Dickens, managing editor of Red Raider Sports, Borden chose the Cats over Texas Tech this morning:

Borden is the first commitment of the Mark Stoops era. Highlights! Hilights!

The block he delivers at the 1:32 mark is pure Waterboy style!

Steven Borden is the Waterboy (with wrestling connection and all)!

If he is a TE, why are the highlights of a QB?

He played everything in HS and TE in juco. Can’t find any information or profiles on him so the recruiting sites don’t think much of him. He is big and fast though. 6’4 250, 4.5 40

Did you see the catch by #72 at the 1:02 mark. That was pretty impressive be a lineman playing TE.

Looks like a James Whalen/Jacob Tamme type recruit, not highly touted but potentially very effective in a pass happy offense.

I think he looks like a beast that will contribute immediately. Good find.
