REPORT: Kentucky gets LSU in Football Next Year

lsu

The Baton Rouge Advocate newspaper reports that UK will play LSU in 2014 in football. The SEC schedule of course includes 6 games against teams in the SEC East, Mississippi State and one rotating opponent. But with the entry of two new teams in the SEC, the rotation has not yet been set. According to the Advocate however, UK will get LSU first in the new rotation, a scenario that is likely not to be considered ideal. While it isn’t finalized, one would assume that this game will be in Baton Rouge, due to the Alabama game (the West opponent this year) being in Lexington.

The official schedule comes out later today.

Ya this doesn’t make sense, we just played at LSU in 2011. The rotating opponent should be Auburn or Texas AM next year.

The SEC wants the conferences marquee teams to end up with the best record possible.

Until we win a few games and stop being the whipping post of the conference then we will see these powerhouse teams each year. We are, in essence, padding the stats for LSU, Alabama, and the upper tier West schools.

The only way to stop this is to jump up and punch a few people in the mouth over the next few seasons.

At least the team and our fans will get to see the LSU Golden Girls on the end zone visits.

Not that we have had a ton of success against SEC teams in the past but LSU has been one team that we have always played pretty good including beating them while they were on their way to a National Championship. After playing Bama this year, LSU and everyone else will be all down hill next year.
