University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Remember Trevor Lacey?

We loved him. Don’t pretend like you didn’t.

The former Kentucky target from the class of 2011 is now starting for Alabama at shooting guard. He moved into the starting lineup six games ago and he’s averaging just under 10 points per game in the new role.

It wasn’t that long ago when we were expecting a commitment from Lacey. He was very interested in playing for UK last December, but he kept the process open and in May he chose to stay at home in Alabama over moving to Lexington. He said he was concerned about playing time at UK with Doron Lamb deciding to stick around.

Despite his insane high school numbers and YouTube mixtapes of three-pointers, Trevor Lacey is only shooting 29% from the beyond the arc this season. On that note, he’ll probably be the guy who lights UK up for 25 tomorrow afternoon. That’s just how it works sometimes in Rupp Arena.

See you tomorrow, old friend.

I thought I remember Cal backing off on him a bit because of possible eligibility issues? Maybe it was Doron that kept him away…

And color me more worried about JaMychel Green causing some foul troubles. Time to game up Terrence!

Did you see Tony Mitchell’s line last night? 31 minutes, 0-8, 0-5 from 3.

If we get up early on Baba we’ll bury this team. I expect this game to be similar to Arkansas.

They were horrible last night; couldn’t buy a basket and Vandy got easy baskets. Translation: They’ll hit everything they throw up against us. Seems to always work that way.

    5. No need to worry about Green. A big man that shoots fade away jumpers.

A really nice shooter. That 29 percent is an abberation. He will find that touch here soon enough.

I wanted Lacey and agree he will be a solid player for Bama for years to come. He kind of reminds me of Meeks a little bit.

Lacey was not a high target…uk could have gotten him. Half the guys that drop uk are guys who UK has as a 3rd or 4th backup plan and we start to cool on them and then they drop us (or we drop them).
