I usually attend 2-3 parades a year. I go to the Reds Opening Day parade almost every year. I go to a 4th of July parade every year. I sometimes go to the Mardis Gras parade in Covington.

A UL bar in Lexington would serve a huge purpose. Whenever I’m in a crowded bar watching a game, So I don’t have to wait in line, I usually go to a nearby establishment that is nearly empty to go to the bathroom.
I think the tennis championship already happened and UK went out to Southern Cal in the quarterfinals.
Kentucky is at a disadvantage in sports like baseball and football because the state lacks urban area. In basketball, you can convince 8 to 10 great players to come to your program and you’re set to compete with anyone. There aren’t enough talented athletes in the state for Kentucky to have sustained success in those sports. Urban area dictates a lot of success in college athletics.
If they’d let Cal hold public practices there throughout the year and sale concessions… The building could be paid off in a year or two. #KentuckyEffect

One concern I have with the offense this year is the offensive line. If Smith does not have enough time to locate his receivers, the Cats may not be able to move the ball or throw it deep. If defenses have talent at the DB position, teams will play one-on-one and blitz.

Eh, it seems like southern schools enjoy more success in college baseball and football. Florida, Texas, and Southern California born players regularly supply the most NFL players to the league. Most baseball powers come from the south as well, for different reasons I suspect… more climate than culture. Oregon State’s the only recent baseball power I can think of from a Northern state.
Jax- yeah, playing Towles this season would be the single biggest blunder in Joker’s career of blunders at UK. If by some odd chance he does trot the kid out there to get destroyed, it’s just a testament as to just how truly awful this team is.

Why does the Louisville think its the most important city in the world? It may be the main economic engine in the state but Kentucky is a not a big state. Its like a kid boasting about being the best biggest player on a small high school football team. Congrats, but you can’t match up to the cities on each coast. The US economy would not lose much sleep if it lost Louisville.
