Recruit with Police Record to Visit Louisville

Sometimes the jokes dont even need to be made…they can just be implied. Former Wake Forest CenterTony Woods will be visiting Louisville this weekend. Who is Tony Woods? Well he was a once heralded recruit, who is now best known for having pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an incident where he hit and kicked his baby’s mother, causing her to have a fractured spine. This fine young Gentleman was suspended from the Wake Forest basketball program and then decided to transfer. His first visit will be with the Louisville Cardinals, likely derived from the fact that he has a relationship with Tim Fuller from his Wake Forest connections.

Jeff Goodman reports that a number of schools are interested in Woods and he even says Kentucky has called to inquire, although that news is from Woods himself, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. What shouldnt be taken with a grain is that he will visit Louisville and hopefully join the list of fine young men to play for the Porcini’s loving coach. I think it is absurd that Rick Pitino would take Tony Woods and if UK pursues him, my belief will still be the same. No offense to Tony, but a program like UL or UK doesnt need to deal with that baggage. I believe in second chances, but those chances dont need to be taken here.
