The Martin Luther King holiday meant an afternoon slate of basketball games during regular office hours — when we’d normally be working. The Spalding Hoop Hall Classic is winding down in Massachusettes and the NBA got off to an earlier start on Monday.

Bennett did not play for Findlay Prep today. He is nursing a bad back that’s been bothering him since last month.
The No. 1 player in 2013 scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the losing effort to Findlay.
Findlay Prep 75, Simeon 50
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound senior scored six points and grabbed five rebounds in the first game of the final day in the Hoop Hall Classic. His team fell to UCLA commit Kyle Anderson’s St. Anthony.
St. Anthony 60, Miller Grove 48
The Cards jumped out to an 18-2 lead on Marquette but trailed by 4 at the half.
