Really, Pat Forde?

Pat Forde loves the Olympics. Like LOVES the Olympics, at this point may offer to have its five-ringed babies. And that’s fine. If someone paid me to go to London and cover them, I’d love them that much too. Over the past two weeks, Forde has done a great job covering all of the main storylines: Phelps vs. Lochte, Usain Bolt, Gabby Douglas’ hair, etc. etc. But, what’s the most interesting thing Forde has seen so far?

Really? That’s the most interesting sight in London? A man wearing a Team USA sweat suit? You obviously need to get out more.

The larger question must be if Wes is wearing a Team USA sweat suit, then obviously he and Coach K have some evil partnership, right? I mean, that’s where you were going with this, weren’t you Pat? No? Oh, okay, that’s just Cal? Hmm.

we must take those tweets and use it as the sole research and basis to write a lengthy article about coach k trying to get in good with “power broker” wes and how he must be cheating … not surprisingly wes is seen around coach k right after duke had a big time one and done player in austin rivers, mmm hmm, mmmm hmmm!!!

    4. He went to Missouri. Also WWW has been close with Coach K for a while now. He was sitting with Kyle Singler’s parents at the Final Four in 2010.

4- I’m not defending Forde by any means. However, the comment in which you criticize his grammar has grammatical errors itself. Punctuation goes inside of the quotations.

At what point does this type of ‘writing’ become slander????? I mean really…

talk about “bagman” Forde is and has been Pitino’s bagman for years. Pitino disseminates (poor word choice) this information and Pat Forde tries to run it up the flag pole. World Wide Wes is not reason for Cal’s or UK’s success. It is more than that. The people involved in the program have worked for an opportunity to flourish and have capitalized on that opportunity.

I agree with 11…don’t put Cal in the same equation as that rat face. I know, 11 is a Duke troll and even he knows Cal is much too handsome to be grouped with that rat.

Is there a more irrelevant sportswriter in America than Forde? He constant fixation with all things Kentucky makes him useless to cover any event that does not include the UK basketball team.

All this proves is that “World Wide Wes”is truly, “World Wide!” Not just in Lexington!

    8) First, you’re wrong. Punctuation goes inside quotes except in certain cases, such as question marks. If the question mark was not part of the quote (i.e. you’re not quoting a question), the question mark must then be placed outside the quotes.

Second, Forde is a professional writer, so he has a professional responsibility to use proper grammar. Comments on a blog shouldn’t be held to the same standards.

    Boom. Writered.

Pat Forde is actully a good writer and a better human. Most sports writers can’t please everyone. Its humorous how haters opine. Just like us all, he’s got a mortgage and a family to feed. Nice guys finish last.
