Raymond Sanders injured

sanders

I have confirmed tonight that Raymond Sanders suffered a knee injury at practice today.  I’m told UK isn’t quite sure how long he will be out. Sanders had knee surgery over the summer and the staff tried to ease him back into action. KSR wishes Sanders a speedy recovery.  Based on the depth chart, Josh Clemons will become the starting running back and CoShik Williams likely has the inside track to back up Clemons.  Brandon Gainer and Jonathan George could also see action on Saturday.

As always, you can check out Bleed Blue Kentucky or follow me on Twitter for more UK football news.

Why should Clemons automatically get the start??? He scored one touchdown. CoShik Williams scored 3 TDs in one game last year. He should be starting ahead of Sanders. He has NFL speed at the position and is an electrifying playmaker.

“While I pray for the young man to heal…we got to take advantange”.

Truth be told: Hide that other fella that makes Lemonade from himself…Sir Clemons.

    Plus, where there’s a Will…there’s a way…aka,Stein Way!

We’ll be playin’ Piano in your endzone!!!

Not surprised, if Sanders didn’t have injury problems he would have committed elsewhere. Ever wonder why Derrick Locke didn’t get any big time offers?? Injury prone. More snaps for Clemons, untill he breaks down.

Not playing CoShik Williams is one of the many early F**k ups Joker has made this season. There is no way that Williams does not see the field ahead of Sanders and still largely unproven Clemons.

9.) ummmm nice try, but no. Derrick Locke got offers, but to play DB. Oklahoma only wanted him as a DB, among others. He came to UK because we promised him a chance at RB.

4). Actually Clemons already has 2 touchdowns, in 2 games ALREADY, one of them being extremely impressive (87 yards). He deserves the start, and is the punishing runner we’ve been looking for. Have to get hime going, this will be his big breakout game. There’s a reason Coshik has been here for so long but yet never plays, and a reason why Clemons has been ahead of him on the depth chart all year. Think about it…

If you really think coshik is better than clemons then you arent watching the same game i am. Clemons is a step ahead of every other RB, yes EVERY, sanders is too soft of a runner, Clemons goes hard.

#11: Yeah, the same reason Joker refused to play Ryan Massakowski. I hear that he is doing well these days.

    #13 – Answer: 3 TDs in a single game.

9 and 11, UK never offered him a football scholarship. He came here on a track scholarship so he was a walk on, just like Williams is.

20/21- QB and RB playing times simply aren’t comparable. 2nd and 3rd string RB’s get a MUCH higher % of plays than 1st and 2nd string quarterbacks. You’ve watched football before, you know that–why state such a dumb point?

3 TDs in a single game? Yes, 3 TDs in a game against a D1AA team where both Locke and Sanders were out with injury. Don’t get me wrong, still a good performance for sure. But simply saying “3 TDs in one game,” with no qualifying, is extremely misleading. And you knew that, too.

Who the hell is doubting Clemons?! Wtf is your problem?! I’m sorry is Randal Cobb an option on the bench I was unaware of? Football is week by week and so far Clemons is doing just fine. So F off you idiots!

22 False. After talking with the coaching staff, he came here on a track scholarship with the opportunity to try out to earn a football scholarship. He tried out and they offered him one then. Plenty of sites can verify that, here’s just one
