Randall Cobb: “Electric Return Man”

Get it

Two weeks ago, the world found out just how awesome Randall Cobb is. Even after a mild letdown in his second game, the world still can’t shut up about him (and why should they?). Cobb is the focus of an article previewing the Bears/Packers matchup in today’s Chicago Tribune:

The Bears are on alert preparing for Sunday’s meeting with the Green Bay Packers, who added a dangerous returner in Randall Cobb, the wide receiver who was a second-round draft pick from Kentucky. Cobb tied an NFL record with a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Packers’ season opener, and he gives Green Bay a boost in an area where the Packers have been pedestrian at best.

He definitely is a playmaker, he has unbelievable balance and he’s able to make some plays out there,” Bears special teams ace Corey Graham said. “He definitely helps those guys out.

Former Cat Tim Masthay also gets some much-deserved love:

“[Masthay] really placed his balls well in those second and third games last season,” Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub said. “Really kind of took us out of it in our return game. We got the ball in our hands a bunch too, just the hang times, direction, he was very good.”

Do you have Randall Cobb on your fantasy football team? If so, will you start him this week?

He is on my team, but not starting. I just loved the bragging rights of drafting him in the last round and then he scores two TD’s first game. It was the lone highlight for a UK Football fan this year.

I drafted him too, just because I’m a huge fan and wanted him on my team. I haven’t started him yet. Maybe soon…

Starting him is nothing but a homer move. While I’m as big of a cobb fan as anyone, he’s somewhere around the 5th option on that team. Either way, I hope he has a big game

Need a big week from Cobb! Due to several injuries I have him starting this week. A few catches and a couple good returns would be good enough for me.

this guy bailed Joker out last season. Now we are seeing a classic 1975 high-school offense.

Yep, I picked him up as FA, Started him on week 2 just out of pride. I can’t take the inconsistent point production as a regular starter, but he will definitely be first off the bench if GB is playing a crappy team.

I picked him up FA this week. Not starting him, but if he becomes a hot option (like Wes Welker a couple years back) I will be the happiest man alive.
