Two weeks ago, the world found out just how awesome Randall Cobb is. Even after a mild letdown in his second game, the world still can’t shut up about him (and why should they?). Cobb is the focus of an article previewing the Bears/Packers matchup in today’s Chicago Tribune:
The Bears are on alert preparing for Sunday’s meeting with the Green Bay Packers, who added a dangerous returner in Randall Cobb, the wide receiver who was a second-round draft pick from Kentucky. Cobb tied an NFL record with a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Packers’ season opener, and he gives Green Bay a boost in an area where the Packers have been pedestrian at best.
“He definitely is a playmaker, he has unbelievable balance and he’s able to make some plays out there,” Bears special teams ace Corey Graham said. “He definitely helps those guys out.
Former Cat Tim Masthay also gets some much-deserved love:
“[Masthay] really placed his balls well in those second and third games last season,” Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub said. “Really kind of took us out of it in our return game. We got the ball in our hands a bunch too, just the hang times, direction, he was very good.”
Do you have Randall Cobb on your fantasy football team? If so, will you start him this week?
