#10…exactly….and Rondo is not the only one…..Tubby ruined Cliff Hawkins. I remember Hawking dominated the IU game and then Tubby criticized him the next day about doing too much and Hawkings wasn’t the same after that, he never knew what he was supposed to do under Tubby…..Im sure Rondo was the same.
13….no, he’s the leader in assists, I’m aware of that….with all due respect, the very reason I don’t watch NBA is because of the “look-at-me” foolishness…just like that clip…the NBA is full of that kind of stuff, and that’s why I don’t watch…I’d rather watch UK spread the ball around and play for the TEAM, and less for the highlight reel on SportsCenter…
16. he’s a pro basketball player not your date for prom. who gives a fugg what he thinks of himself. he has the perfect skill set for what you want in a point with the added benefit of rebounding, and he’s built like the smallest Monstar. it makes for awesome basketball.
#19 If something that stupid keeps you from watching the NBA, then fine, don’t watch the best players in the world. People are such freaking babies about the NBA. It kills me.
25 Comments for Rajon Rondo is a showman
They win a lot of tips.
Whomever noticed these, and then documented them, must be a HUGE Celtics fan. Kudos, buddy.
Because he can.
That sort of thing can help a ball handler get into a rythem. It is showmanship to be sure, but it does have its uses.
yes
The NBA is indeed a circus: its the greatest show on earth.
This is some cool stuff. Think maybe he is comfortable with the round ball.
I can only imagine what he can do with a match, yo-yo, and ball of twine.
Magic hands.
Only if Tubby could’ve let Rondo be Rondo….
Imagine if that amount of effort went into being unselfish, like the 2012 Cats…. hmmmm …..
Very funny. I’m amazed that the announcers never mention any of the moves when he does them. Nice to see a sense of humor.
11. Confused. Are you suggesting Rondo is selfish?

Rondo is a self absorbed douche bag…period. How anyone could like him is beyond my realm of understanding.
Self-absorbed or not, he’s fun to watch.

Is that why he uses a wheelchair now? I went to one of his lectures on theoretical physics after the Tubby incident, but he seemed off his game.
Thanks for reminding me why I don’t watch NBA.
I love it !!!
Great post Drew. Rondo has his own unique version of cool.

How do I “LIKE” a post here?
Kudos to Henry Earl.
Rondo like most of the talent of the Flubby era was under utilized and nearly ruined by that master or moronity whom some adoringly call Tubby.
Youtube video says “As seen on Kentucky Sports Radio” nice
