Qua Huzzie Transferring, Josh Gibbs Giving Up Football

qua-huzzie

I suppose these kinds of things were bound to happen.  After practice today Joker announced the departure of two wildcats – Qua Huzzie to a transfer and Josh Gibbs giving up football for personal reasons.  It is disappointing to hear that Qua is leaving, if not only for having a guy on the team named Qua Huzzie, but because there was a lot of excitement about his potential when he joined the program.  Unfortunately some injuries left him behind on a few things, and the improved recruiting has left him without a clear role on the team.  Of course that is really just speculation, his reason for transferring could be a number of things.  Maybe he just doesn’t like the food at the Commons Market this year.  The same goes for Gibbs, as we’re not certain what has caused his departure.

We wish both these guys the best in the future, wherever they end up.

    5. Yeah, definitely a rumor. I think there’s probably some truth behind it somewhere, but I’m not expecting it to happen yet.

Met Qua at fan day and was shocked at how small he actually was. Im a fat old 5’10 200lb man and i was WAY bigger than Huzzie, no surprise he didnt get to play. Ive said it many times on here that i love Trevathen but dude is small!!! hes a great player no doubt and will make many many tackles but when its 4th and 1 i have zero confidence our defense will stop anyone. i expect more of the same this year ” teams running at will ” i wish UK would start recruiting actual linebackers and not cornerbacks and then try to bulk them up to move them to linebacker. oh well cross your fingers and pray for 6-6

#11 – Playing time in Tallahassee? Sorry, elderly Bowden no longer coaches… there’s no playing time there for a 3rd stringer.
