Yesterday we learned that sophomore linebacker Qua Huzzie was transferring from UK, and today, it looks like he has a destination. Qua Huzzie is hopping on the Bluegrass and heading west to Murray State to play for the Racers, according to online reports.
While Huzzie was not projected to be a starter this season for the Wildcats, losing him is still a blow to Kentucky. Huzzie would’ve been a solid contributor in reserve at linebacker and a key player on special teams. The Cats are already thin at linebacker and now a younger body will have to fill in where Huzzie would’ve provided SEC muscle and experience.
Rick Minter is making major adjustments to the defense and it looks like Huzzie wasn’t satisfied with where he fit in the system. It’s a shame to see a LaGrange guy leave the program, but we wish him the best at Murray State.
