I think the reason that they are announcing this soon is to let the recruits that are left unsigned know who is and who isn’t coming back and I think that none of them will come back. This way though, everyone will know how we stand on our needs. I’m looking for Coach Cal to maybe add a junior college player or two to add some experience to the team.
Ill say it now, Lamb will be a CAT next year! Someone is coming back. Even look at the picture for proof :D!

The résumé for Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari forever will be marked with asterisks.
The 1996 Final Four appearance Calipari made while coaching Massachusetts was vacated when it was found that star Marcus Camby took money from an agent. Calipari had moved on to the NBA by the time the NCAA ruled.
Now, the NCAA will wipe out his 38-2 season with Memphis in 2007-08, when the Tigers bulldozed their way to the NCAA championship game behind star freshman Derrick Rose before losing to Kansas in overtime. That makes Calipari the only coach to have Final Four appearances vacated at two schools.

The NCAA announced Thursday that a player was ineligible for that season because his SAT score later was invalidated by the Educational Testing Service. Though not named, Rose is the only player who fits the report.
Memphis plans to appeal the findings. The basketball program was also put on three years’ probation along with the women’s golf team for extra-benefit violations.
Pending its appeal, Memphis must return money from the 2008 NCAA tournament run. Sheryl Lipman, university counsel, said at a news conference that Memphis will have to return $85,000 it already received through a dispersal formula but would also forfeit as much as $530,000 in money that hasn’t been dispersed yet. In addition, should the appeal be denied, athletics director R.C. Johnson said Calipari would have to return bonus money, which according to the coach’s contract was at least $300,000.
The school previously had to vacate its 1985 Final Four appearance.
Although Calipari has not been singled out in this case, the head coach typically is viewed as accountable for all that happens in his program – good and bad. But once again, Calipari has moved on, this time to Kentucky as the nation’s highest-paid college basketball coach. He has a contract worth $31.65 million over eight years.
Kentucky administrators have voiced support for Calipari, and so has Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear.
Former Kentucky athletics director C.M. Newton, a member of the school’s 1951 national championship team who now chairs the NCAA’s NIT committee, said he is a Calipari fan.
“I think Calipari is one of these guys who’s not unlike many, many others,” said Newton, whose son Martin is Calipari’s director of basketball operations. “He’s very bright, and operates in the area of ‘I’m going to go to the edge of the rule but I’m not stepping over it.’ … Guys who are successful in intercollegiate athletics are in that grey area sometimes. … You’d like to think everybody operates within the spirit and intent of the rules, and you can shoot for that. But in the real world we’re now, where the dollars are driving it, you’re in a big business. That’s where we’ve evolved to.”
As far as a stigma on the coach, “that’s for others to decide,” said Paul Dee, chair of the infractions committee and former Miami (Fla.) athletics director. “Whenever you have a situation where you have a record that’s vacated, that’s a pretty strong indication that there was a problem. But because no allegations were brought concerning the coach … we did not consider any allegation against the coach and therefore made no finding (and) no penalty.”
At Ohio State, former athletics director Andy Geiger went through a scandal with coach Jim O’Brien, who violated NCAA rules by giving a prospect a loan. Ohio State was forced to vacate its 1999 Final Four appearance.
“I think it’s very hurtful for the people who participated,” Geiger said. “Their records and achievements are lost forever. It’s a permanent stain. … From the point of view of fans, the public, it’s not terribly significant because they had the experience. And the experience is not erased.”
No way any of them come back if all annnouncing at the same time!! I think its a move for recruiting since Bennett is going thru the process. Just can’t see one coming back if all have a joint conference tomorrow. Hope I’m wrong though.

I don’t know why but I have a feeling that Lamb is coming back… Not because he isn’t in the picture above or any other reason. Idk.. there will be a lot of combo gaurds picked before him and I actually think he could go in the late 1st rd. to early 2nd. so that leads me to beleive he could actually come back to sharpen his skills and gain experience while helping us WIN #9!!! Come back Lamb.. come back…
None of them are coming back. You don’t attend a press conference if you plan to stay. It isn’t usually done and I can’t think of a time when it has been done.

I think it matters to the NCAA and some stupid score whether or not they leave in good academic standing. I don’t want Cal to get heat for them not finishing the semester.
I read the NCAA clearinghouse had approved Rose’s test scores on two different occasions, so I ask you, if your a coach, and the Gestapo, sorry, I mean NCAA clears a top player two times, do you not play him ?
