Post Game Show

If this guy was actually watching the UK game, he’d have pit stains from sweating that one out

PHEW!  That was a close one, right?  Those Alabama boys wouldn’t go away.  Time to celebrate with Matt Jones on the radio. Get your dialing fingers ready and flip your bluetooth headsets to the ‘on’ position – the Postgame Show starts around 3:15 on WHAS 840 (Louisville) and 630 WLAP (Lexington).  (502) 571-8484.

Not driving?  Too cool for those stone-age FM/AM contraptions?  Fine, then we invite you to join in the fun by streaming the show online right HERE.  It’s going to be great fun as we discuss this close test from the Crimson Tide and how being able to pull out a victory against a talented, physical team without Davis and Gilchrist playing great bodes well for the future.

Stick around KSR for the game recap from Rashawn Franklin.

Guys, knowing the power of the BIG BLUE NATION on voting polls, I thought that I would try this. My army buddy that I served with overseas has a daughter. I am her godfather. They live in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is trying for some spot on a TV program there. I would appreciate anyone who would take the time to vote for her. Her name is Kayla Daly. You can just copy the link and place your vote. Thanks in advance for anyone who would take the time to do this. GO BIG BLUE.

Thanks to everyone who has voted so far. She is now in second place.

Just watched the half-time of Mizz/Baylor game and Doug Gottlieb just said Anothony Davis wasn’t that good. Swear! Andy Katz was saying that we would win the SEC because we have Davis and everyone else doesn’t, and Doug quickly said that he shot poorly and I quote, ‘let’s not act like he is…..’. Katz interrupted him with a compliment that defended Davis, it was very awkward between them. How can anyone say even utter those words?? Just because his point total is low doesn’t even indicate how much he effects the game. Teague gets those open lay-ups because of the auto-lob potential, the constant fear of the defenders shot being blocked. etc…..Why is Doug so butt hurt?? He went to Ok State, and was garbage. I don’t get the constant hate from random scrubs like him? Digger Phelps, Bobby Knight, Hubert Davis, those are all justified. Katz is always saying positives about us….always. I HATE ESPN!!

Good day for the men vs Alabama, but UK rifle is no longer undefeated. TCU took us down by 9 lousy points! 4694-4703. UK got a slow start and and actually won the air rifle, but it was not enough to make up for the early part of the match. It was the first regular season loss in over a year for UK and both teams were undefeated going into the match (UK was 8-0 and TCU was 6-0) so it looks like TCU will hold its #1 ranking.

    From Mike Hughes (ITV)

He’s going to pick Kentucky, which isn’t a surprise to any of us here.

You guys know that I shoot straight, and I’m not disappointed the least in Willis’ decision.

Certainly Willis is a good prospect with size and skill, but he’s not what I’d call a producer. He’s certainly not an immediate impact player at Louisville or Kentucky, though he could develop eventually into a contributor.

I’m surprised John Calipari went this far with Willis because he’s not the type of talent he usually goes after. It’s my opinion that Calipari’s biggest interest in Willis was one-upping Rick Pitino for a top local recruit. I sat next to Mr. Calipari in the Bullitt East gym the night he evaluated Willis. I left scratching my head that night wondering why a coach who ‘recruits’ NBA players was making a move on Willis.

    13) Mike, perhaps Calipari would one-up Pitino, but at this point
it’s obvious that he five and six-ups Pitino every year with every
single recruit. I’m not so sure Cal would waste a scholarship on a player he did not think was worthy of playing here, especially with the lack of depth due to early departures to the big league.
Calipari sees things others do not….hence the tremendous success
and the $4+ million annual reward.
