Police arrest suspect in Desmond Allison murder

More than a year later, police have finally arrested a suspect in the murder of former Cat Desmond Allison. Police in Huntington, West Virgina arrested Richard Willis, 36, at a residence on Friday morning on a fugitive from justice charge. He had been living there under a false name for some time.

On July 26, 2011, Allison and Malcolm Goff were shot multiple times outside an apartment complex in Columbus, Ohio after getting into an argument over, of all things, a baseball cap. Allison was on his cell phone outside of his apartment complex when his ex-girlfriend swiped the hat off his head, sparking an argument with his current girlfriend. Allison and Goff exchanged words with the women and started to walk away when a group of three men, including Willis, approached and shot Allison. He later died at a local hospital. He was 31 years old. A month later, a warrant was issued for Willis’ arrest.

RIP #32.
