Planking John Wall Wants Afternoon Notes and Prattcast

This post has been messing with me all day. Some of you have seen it pop up at random times and then I’ve quickly taken it down because it was incomplete. This time around, I think she’s ready to go. Hey look! John Wall is #plankin!

Let’s get it…

— First and foremost… Happy Birthday to Dave “Buzz” Baker!!! Dave turns somewhere around 32 today. I’ll have to double check that.

— We’re less than an hour away from the unveiling of the new football uniforms. UK will show off the new football threads to the media here shortly. Will Lentz is attending the fashion show and he’ll have pictures up here on the site as soon as possible. Are you excited about seeing the latest in Nike uniform technology??!! I am. I couldn’t sleep last night.

— As Chris mentioned in that fine piece of journalism below this one, Dale Brown has a new coaching job and he’s asked Tony Delk to join his staff at Clark Atlanta University. Tony has been looking for a full-time coaching job for a while now and if this is what he wants, then we’re happy for him. Although, we’d much rather see him stick around Lexington and help out with the Cats. I’d like to see him be a part of this year’s undefeated NCAA national champion team before he moves on.

— Okay, Lexington. As you saw in the recent rankings, we’re the laziest city in America. Let’s fix that. bodyFIT Worldwide hosts bootcamps on weekends for people of all fitness levels. Everyone gathers at Thoroughbred Park in downtown Lexington at 9:00 AM on Saturday mornings and gets their sweat on. All you need is an exercise mat, water, and $10 ($5 of that goes to a local charity). Even if you’re out of town this holiday weekend, the show will go on next Saturday and then the next Saturday and so on. I better see you there. You’re getting fat. (No, I didn’t get paid for that plug.)

Mike Pratt stopped by Kentucky Sports Radio this morning. I love Mike Pratt. Don’t you love Mike Pratt?

Yes, Mike Pratt was my favorite player on the team his senior year, didn’t get enough credit for his performance! The enforcer, took care of Dan’s back!

If Mike Casey hadn’t gotten hurt before his Senior year, along with Issel and Pratt, we would have 8 titles! Why isn’t Mike up in the rafters yet??

With his being sent unexpectedly to Detroit and now the lockout…I’m betting Brandon Knight is wishing he might have his ‘going pro’ decision back for reconsideration. Oh, what a team we would have had next year with Knight coming back.
