Petrino turning over a new leaf?

New Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino has, perhaps, instituted a more stringent behavior policy at his new gig in Fayetteville. Petrino, who actually accepted Phil Fulmer’s left-overs (In fairness to Phil and his reputation, Jones actually transferred from UT. He was oft-suspended from the Vols, though.), has kicked linebacker Freddie Fairchild off of the Razorbacks team.

Fairchild, allegedly, caused harm to the “head, face, extremities, and pelvis” of a woman, and disallowed her leaving “for several hours.” Yikes.

The junior started 11 games for the Hogs last year, and led the team in sacks while recording 92 tackles.

Petrino and his band of goody-goody’s will be in Lexington October 18th.

Do you think his press conference announcing Fairchild’s dismissal was as awkward as this? I would have paid to see the cheerleaders briefing him on the “Pig-Sooey” chant beforehand.
