Perry Ellis to Decide Wednesday

Has it finally arrived?  Will Kentucky land a recruit in the class of 2012?  Five-star power forward Perry Ellis, who hosted the Cats in his home late last week, sent out a release today announcing that he will pick his college in a press conference at his school Wednesday.  The Wichita native was visited last by the Cats, who are the only school on his list outside the state of Kansas.  Ellis also is considering Kansas, Kansas State and Wichita State and plans to sign in November.

2, Bluegreas, you can’t sign until November….but he can tell us at any time where he wants to sign in November. Which will be UK.

I hope he comes to UK it seems Cal REALLY wants him, but i think it would be hard for him if he did not pick a home state school… that would be like Rex Chapman picking Kansas over UK and UL imo.

#2 a recruit can’t actually sign binding LOI’s until November, so Ellis would just be committing to a school on Wednesday.

I wouldn’t get overly confident on this one… Perry has talked highly of UK throughout the process but i don’t think there has been a time, UK was thought to be the leader. The smart money is on Kansas in this one.

If Cal gets this guy it would be huge. Buy I feel the same as most and it will be tough to get this kid to leave home. Too many Kansas schools in the mix, shows home us important. Of Clyde I hope I’m wrong.

KU websites are saying its UK b/c of the future collapse of the Big 12 conference. Hope they’re right. KU b-ball is a HUGE traditional power that might get thrown into a bad conference. Look at them going to Big Ten.

I know Cal really wants this guy so I hope we get him, but it’s hard to see him leaving the state of Kansas, especially since his parents are KU alum. But, if he does pick UK, this is just another stake in Bill Self’s heart. Cal has owned him so far since he’s been at UK and if he takes a top recruit out of his own state, I can see Bill Self catchin some serious heat. I would laugh though cuz it’s what Kansas fans get for giving us a hard time when our program was down. As I can constantly told all the haters, all blue bloods bounce back.
