Patterson to Louisville?
This morning’s news of Tim Patterson’s transfer likely didn’t come as a surprise to anyone who is Facebook friends with the young linebacker out of Central High School in Louisville. Some photos uploaded in January of him wearing a Louisville sweatshirt suggested he wasn’t exactly 100% committed to Kentucky. With that in mind, I don’t think it’s a big mystery as to where he’ll eventually end up.
Should we expect him in a Cards jersey soon?

Couldn’t UK block a transfer to UofL? I know they can prevent a transfer to other SEC schools. Makes sense they could attempt to do so for an in-state rival that’s on the schedule.

Charlie Strong should thank Joker for making his job so damn easy. Joker will never get a Jefferson County kid again that Strong wants to keep at home.
I made the phone call to Tim, and he will indeed be a Cardinal next year. Things money can buy.
Seriously? This guy was a huge get in recruiting that year, and to lose the few Louisville kids means we’re out of Jefferson County for kids. Ugh, this hurts. It was Louisville guys that helped turn us around under Brooks, and Joker was getting them here. Now that Joker has gotten rid of Brooks “old” coaches for all these younger guys who are “recruiters” we see that player development is not where it needs to be, nor that they are not putting the players in the best positions to succeed. We will be AWFUL next year and Joker will be gone. Unfortunately, the in-roads made to Louisville will be gone and the next coach will have to rebuild the program all over again. Such a shame
Who cares it’s football. If this kid isn’t smart enough to go play against the best in the SEC verses the pathetic Big East in football, then let UL have him. The sad thing is UL fans are actually dumb enough to think even if UL won every game, that the BCS is going to put them in a championship game.

God help us in football. Strong is owning Joker both on the field and in recruiting. We are kidding ourselves if we dont think these kids and coaches (like T Martin) dont see the writing on the wall in that Joker will not last at UK. Last year T turns down AL and stays at UK but this year he bolts for USC and that only tells me one thing… He doesnt have the confidence in Joker lasting at UK like he did a year ago. Joker is a Joke, point blank period.

I say we go a complacent 5-7 again this year, and that may prove to be a stretch. Lost half the defense when Trevathan and Guy left. I can’t really foresee a big offensive leap, but a tad bit. Still, D will be too weak to compete.

Who knows when this photo was taken? His family were always Louisville fans prior to Tim’s signing with UK. Patterson was considered by some to be one of the best young guys in his class coming out of high school. On another note, he’s one of the few collegiate male football or basketball players that has NO piercings and NO tattoos. Best wishes Tim!

Charlie Strong was 7-6 and lost in the Belk Bowl last year. How is that great(good)? Patterson has not and probably would not play at UK.

#47 I agree…what makes UofL think Strong is so great? His first season he was 6-6 just like Kragthorpe was the year before, yet UofL fans thought his 6-6 record was great while they thought Kragthorpe’s 6-6 record was a disgrace..so what was the difference? Last year they went 7-6 and lost the Belk Bowl yet Tard fans acted like they won the National Championship. I do admit he is probably better than Joker but at the same time, their schedule is NO WHERE NEAR AS DIFFICULT as UK’s schedule is. Had UofL played in the SEC last season, I guarantee they wouldn’t have been 7-6..we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
